The movie Sanam Teri Kasam, which was once unsuccessful, is now performing well and gaining appreciation after being re-released. It was originally released on February 5, 2016, and had an all-time box office collection of just ₹9 crore. Now, after its re-release on February 7, 2025, it has already surpassed ₹15 crores in just three days.
This massive change shows how Indian audiences have evolved over time. They now value heartfelt and original content with good actors more than ever.
One of the reasons why Sanam Teri Kasam was a flop could be poor promotions. Some said the lead actor’s performance was not good. But now, in 2025, after its re-release on February 7, it is greatly impacting viewers’ minds.
The movie is receiving great responses from fans all over India. There has been no official announcement for Sanam Teri Kasam 2, but actor Harshvardhan Rane mentioned that a sequel could happen if people thoroughly enjoy the first part.

Final Review
Sanam Teri Kasam is overall a good watch, yes I would say the acting is not top notch but its much better than several nepo kids. The storyline is nice, the Indian infrastructure they had showed in the movie is much better than most of the bollywood movies, lasting a good impression on overseas audiences. The dialogues are well written and delivered as well. And obviously the music is great, whole Sanam Teri Kasam album is superb.
