Season 2 of XO, Kitty is finally here! Released on Netflix on 16 January 2025, the new season comes with eight episodes, each about 30 minutes long. This season introduces some fresh characters, adding exciting twists and turns to the story. Kitty also uncovers her mother’s full story, but her love life remains as dramatic as ever. So, did Kitty and Minho finally fall for each other this time?

Cast of XO, Kitty Season 2
The cast of Season 2 features many familiar faces, along with a few new ones:
- Anna Cathcart as Katherine Song Covey
- Minyeong Choi as Dae Heon Kim
- Gia Kim as Yuri Han
- Sang Heon Lee as Min Ho
- Anthony Keyvan as Q
- Regan Aliyah as Juliana
New Characters and New Twists
The first season of XO, Kitty ended with Minho confessing his feelings to Kitty on the plane. But in Season 2, Kitty rejects his confession, still deeply in love with Yuri. Unfortunately, with Yuri and Juliana happily dating, Kitty struggles to accept that she and Yuri can never be together.
Meanwhile, Kitty returns to KISS (Korean Independent School of Seoul), thanks to Yuri’s mom pulling some strings. Now, she’s sharing a dorm with Yuri and Juliana, which makes things super awkward. Minho, heartbroken after Kitty’s rejection, starts avoiding her.
There’s more drama in store:
- Dae still has feelings for Kitty but later starts falling for Eunice.
- Q is single at first but finds love with Jin.
- Kitty gets involved with a new girl, Praveena, but it ends in heartbreak.
- Minho begins dating Stella, who turns out to be the mastermind behind many of this season’s twists.
Things take an even crazier turn when Yuri kisses Kitty! As you can imagine, Season 2 is filled with relationship chaos that keeps you guessing until the end.
Ending of Season 2 and Hints for Season 3
The finale leaves us with a sense of déjà vu. Kitty, after a whirlwind of complicated relationships with Yuri and Praveena, finally realises she’s in love with Minho. The semester ends, and Minho is about to leave for a summer trip with his family. Kitty tries to confess her love in the sculpture garden but gets too nervous. Instead, she asks if she can join his family trip, and Minho agrees.
This ending mirrors how Season 1 wrapped up, where Minho realised his love for Kitty but couldn’t express it. In Season 2, the roles are reversed—now it’s Kitty who’s unable to say what’s in her heart. Their journey feels like it has come full circle, making a strong case for Season 3 to explore their relationship further.
I strongly believe there’s going to be a third season of XO, Kitty. Kitty still needs to confess her love for Minho. While her mother’s story has reached its conclusion, the focus will likely shift entirely to her and Minho’s relationship.
My Thoughts on XO, Kitty Season 2
For me, Season 2 was a mix of enjoyable and frustrating moments. It started off slow and felt a bit boring at times, but things picked up towards the end. The humour didn’t hit as much as I’d hoped, and the complicated love angles felt overwhelming.
That said, I loved how the show included more elements of Korean culture, language, and music, though it sometimes felt a bit forced. The music was fantastic, and Peter Kavinsky’s cameo added some much-needed lighthearted moments. I do wish we had more bonding scenes between Peter and Kitty’s friends. And where were my favourite Kitty and Minho bickering scenes? I missed those!
Q was my favourite character this season—he was adorable throughout. Overall, Season 2 is a decent one-time watch. If you loved Season 1, you should give it a try.
Season 2 of XO, Kitty takes the story forward while keeping the drama alive. It’s all about love, self-discovery, and navigating tricky relationships. While the season wasn’t perfect, it sets up a promising storyline for Season 3. Let’s hope we finally see Kitty and Minho get their happy ending!
